The anchor pendant is solid 14k rose gold, but comes with a 14/20 rose-gold-filled chain in the length of your choice from the options below. Information about matching solid 14k gold chains is available by request as well.
This piece can be engraved with up to 8 characters, including spaces and simple symbols, in one line across the back of the setting and/or with up to 6 characters vertically down the back of the anchor's shank. Examples of the font options available for engraving can be seen here. If you have any engraving-related questions, please submit your inquiry in the contact form below or send us an email.
Each piece is set in our office, located in Southern California. Only a very small amount of ashes is used in the setting process; the exact amount needed depends on the size and depth of the piece's setting, but for simplicity's sake, a teaspoon of ashes will suffice for most orders. The setting process solidifies the ashes and brings out their natural color, which may differ from those in the piece photographed. Within 1 business day of placing your order, you will receive a detailed order confirmation with information and instructions relevant to your unique order.

Can I put the ashes in myself or have my local funeral home do it?
Our cremation jewelry is crafted using a patented process that solidifies the ashes and bonds them directly to the metal. Because of this unique method, our pieces must be completed in our studio and cannot be done at home or by a funeral home. This ensures your memorial jewelry is durable, long-lasting, and made exactly as intended.
Is the cremation pendant solid 14k rose gold?
Yes! The cremation pendant itself (not including the chain) is solid 14k rose gold.
Can I purchase this without the chain?
All of our 14k rose gold pendants come with a complimentary 14/20 rose gold-filled chain in the length of your choice (16", 18", or 20"). If you prefer not to receive the chain, we’re happy to leave it out upon request; however, the price will remain the same, as it is provided at no additional cost.
What's the difference between a 14/20 gold-filled chain and a gold-plated chain?
Gold-filled and gold-plated chains both have a layer of gold over a base metal, but the key difference is the thickness of the gold layer and how it’s applied.
14/20 gold-filled chains consist of a thick layer of 14k gold (at least 5% of the chain’s total weight) pressure-bonded to the base metal. Gold-plated chains, on the other hand, have a much thinner layer of gold electroplated onto the surface.
Because of this, gold-filled chains are more durable and long-lasting than gold-plated options, while still being more affordable than solid 14k gold. If you prefer, we’re always happy to provide options and pricing for solid 14k rose gold chains upon request.
Is it okay to wear my cremation jewelry in the shower, pool, or ocean?
We do not recommend wearing your cremation jewelry in the pool or ocean, as chlorine and saltwater can be damaging to the ashes setting and metal.
You may wear your piece in the shower, but keep in mind the minerals and chemicals present in many skincare products can discolor or mattify the ashes setting. While it's best to remove your cremation jewelry before showering, if you do choose to leave it on, we recommend rinsing it thoroughly and drying it afterward to prevent any residue buildup.
All of our cremation jewelry comes with a lifetime warranty for the ashes setting. If the setting ever becomes dull, discolored, or damaged, you can send it back to us to be restored or redone. There is no fee for this service; we only ask that you cover the shipping costs.
Can I wear my cremation jewelry every day?
Yes, absolutely! Our cremation jewelry is created to be worn as often as you’d like — whether that's every day, on special occasions, or anything in between.
That said, it is still fine jewelry, so a bit of mindful care will help preserve its beauty over time. We recommend removing your piece before activities that may involve physical impact or contact with chemicals, such as exercising, swimming, gardening, or cleaning. This helps protect both the metal and the ashes setting.

Will the color of the ashes setting match the one pictured?
Ashes are like fingerprints: entirely unique to your loved one. No color is added to the ashes during the setting process, so the finished jewelry will reflect their natural hue, which may differ from those photographed.
Can I send something other than or in addition to ashes, such as hair, breastmilk, or another sentimental material?
Yes! We are happy to accept a variety of other materials, including but not limited to: hair/fur, sand, soil, powdered breastmilk, dried flower petals, fabric, crushed gemstones, and more. Please reach out to discuss your unique memorial setting.
